     I would like to not only thank Lisa Davey for the wonderful experience I had making a decision to relocate and finding the home of my future but share my story. First a bit of background…

     Recently, I made a decision to embark on a major life change. A 60 year old widow that had never lived more than 35 miles from where she was born was thinking about moving over 900 miles south. When I met Lisa Davey this was just a thought but in one day it turned into a reality.

     A visit to my brother to discuss my thoughts and plans, one phone call and Lisa had me off and running. It was amazing after just one conversation Lisa was able to pull several listings, which she thought appropriate for me. Four of us, my brother, my son, me and Lisa in the lead left at 9AM in the morning on Tuesday to look at approximately 9 houses I chose from the listings. In about 4 hours I had settled on two that I really liked, now the decision had to be made if the plan was to become a reality. Since I had come totally unprepared to do this I had to wait until Wednesday to get to a bank for the approval process. Once approved and the offer made, we were on our way. The day I was leaving to return to Rhode Island I signed the paperwork so the process could begin. 

     The entire rest of the process was so easy for me because of Lisa’s knowledge, expertise in her field and friendly, giving spirit. Lisa went far beyond what was required to make this as painless for me as possible. The rest of the house buying process would have to be done long distance by phone and email. Lisa worked diligently for me always making sure that I was aware of what was happening. She was in constant contact with in one way or another. All the papers that needed my signature Lisa scanned then emailed to me, always following up with a phone to make sure all was well and that I totally understood what the documents were about.Not only did Lisa handle all the paper work long distance she also made sure that I had whatever I’d need once the sale was accepted. I received emails with the numbers of all the utilities in Columbia, a list of inspectors that I would need to chose from, a list of attorneys since I would definitely need one soon, and most of all her encouraging words that it would all come together.

     The communication between agent and customer was superior; I was always in the loop and knew exactly where everything stood at any given time.  All the inspections etc, Lisa was the one who arranged them always rearranging her schedule to be there to answer any and all questions then calling me immediately to let me know all about what happened. I should also include a little extra responsibility, which Lisa had to deal with during this sale; my brother had Power of Attorney to deal with this real estate transaction for me so I wouldn’t have to return to SC until the move. Lisa always kept him up to date as well, this was done automatically, and I never mentioned it since I assumed it was my responsibility to keep him informed. 

     I am now in the process of packing getting ready for the move in about 3 weeks. Yes, Lisa is still there offering to help in any way. I feel that the service and assistance, which Lisa has provided to me, is above what is expected from any agent. Throughout there has been extra steps and work for her because of the distance factor. Lisa has met and dealt with all the issues that I was really my responsibility. I can’t say enough about how fantastic Lisa has been through this house hunting and relocation experience for me.

     It’s obvious that Lisa loves what she does and makes what could be difficult as easy as possible for her client. Thank you, Lisa.
